Description:
The new Porsche 911 Turbo S has recently been unveiled at Geneva. This upgrade to the existing 997 range tops the current line-up of 911's thanks to an increased power output of 530 bhp and peak torque of 700 Nm. Other specifications for this new Porsche 911 Turbo S are equally impressive; 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and 24.8 mpg (combined), there is no denying that the Porsche 911 Turbo S is a worthy successor to the historic S-series that previously adorned the Porsche line-up in 2004 and in 1998.

The 911 Turbo S has been created in response to customer demand and to keep the vehicle in line with competitors supercars. The Porsche 911 Turbo S evolves the successful Turbo design complete with six cylinder boxer engine, twin turbocharged, and with variable valve geometry. Thanks to subtle aerodynamic tweaks the new Porsche 911 S boasts identical fuel consumption compared to previous models despite the large increase in horsepower.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S also comes complete with a variety of fittings as standard that are optional extras on existing models, for instance the seven speed PDK double clutch gearbox with paddle shift and PTM traction management system all come as standard. The driving feel of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is improved thanks to new Dynamic Engine Mounts, a torque vectoring system and a mechanical limited slip differential at the rear of the vehicle.

Launch control is another standard fitting on the Porsche 911 Turbo S, as are the ceramic composite brakes developed in house. The Porsche 911 Turbo S comes with 19 inch RS Sypder wheels, adaptive sports seats, cruise control, CD/DVD changer, two tone leather upholstery and dynamic cornering lights. The stunning Porsche 911 Turbo S will be on sale from May 2010 and will be priced from £123,263 as a coupe and from £130,791 for the cabriolet model.
